Casa Cadaval – premium wine from Portugal

The estate is run by Teresa Alvares Pereira Countess von Schönborn-Wiesentheid, the sister of Paul Count von Schönborn. She has selected 53 ha of top sites which are planted to 95% with red wine varieties. These include the autochthonal Portuguese varieties Tinta Ruriz, Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira, from which the estate's most famous wine is pressed. Other varieties grown cover the premium French grapes Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The maximum yield is limited to 45 hl/ha.
